This charming little boat Benny constructed recently set sail down the 'river.' It's actually a creek behind our home that, after the recent heavy rain, does resemble a small river.

This picture, and a wonderful memory are what we are left with... perfect.

Inspired by Aunt Doris, I've been spending my spare (ha!) time at the sewing machine. Desi wants to wear a little orange every day - she still can't tell me exactly why. I made her this peasant blouse modified from a pattern in Anna Maria Horner's book, "Seams to Me."

She can't take her eyes off the chipmunks running around the yard to look at the camera, and that's just fine with me.
